Chemical Tanks and Reactors manufacturer in India

Chemical Tanks and Reactors

Ambalica Projects is a trusted name among chemical tank and reactor manufacturers in India, delivering precision-engineered process vessels to pharmaceutical, petrochemical, agrochemical, and specialty chemical industries since 2005. Our fabrication facility in Haryana is equipped with modern CNC cutting, automated welding, and NDT testing infrastructure to produce vessels that conform to IS, ASME, and GMP standards.

Whether you need a 100-litre SS jacketed reactor for a pilot batch plant or a 40,000-litre industrial chemical storage tank for a bulk manufacturing facility, Ambalica Projects offers fully customised solutions backed by end-to-end engineering support — from design and fabrication to installation and commissioning.

All our reactors and tanks are supplied with hydro-test reports, material test certificates (MTC), inspection documentation, and full compliance dossiers as per client and statutory requirements.

Types of Chemical Reactors We Manufacture

SS Jacketed Reactors

Our stainless steel jacketed reactors are designed for processes that demand precise temperature regulation. The jacket — fabricated in either SS304 or MS — surrounds the vessel shell and channels heating or cooling media (steam, thermic fluid, hot water, or chilled water). Available in single-stage and double-stage jacket configurations, these reactors are widely used in pharmaceutical plants, dye intermediates units, cosmetics manufacturing, adhesive production, and resin synthesis.

Limpet Coil Reactor Vessels

The limpet coil design uses a spiral half-pipe welded directly onto the outer shell, offering better pressure resistance than conventional jacketed vessels and a faster thermal response. Ambalica’s limpet coil reactors are available in single-coil and double-coil configurations, making them ideal for batch processes in pharma APIs, agrochemicals, and polymer manufacturing. All vessels are manufactured to CIP-friendly nozzle layouts when GMP compliance is required.

Pressure Reactors & High-Pressure Vessels

For reactions involving hydrogenation, oxidation, polymerisation, etherification, and hydrolysis under elevated pressure, our pressure reactors handle working pressures from 0.1 bar to 100 bar and temperatures up to 220°C. Each vessel is engineered per ASME Section VIII / IS 2825 norms and is supplied with a pressure gauge, safety valve, drain valve, and full hydro-test documentation.

Industrial Chemical Storage Tanks

Ambalica Projects manufactures vertical and horizontal chemical storage tanks for static and process storage of raw materials, intermediates, and finished chemicals. Available in MS (plain and rubber-lined), SS304, SS316, SS316L, and HDPE-lined variants, our tanks are engineered to handle corrosive acids, alkalis, solvents, and specialty chemicals safely and reliably. Capacities range from 500 litres to 50,000 litres with options for external insulation, steam tracing, heating coils, and agitator mounting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a jacketed reactor and a limpet coil reactor?

A jacketed reactor has a continuous outer shell welded around the vessel, allowing a heating/cooling medium to flow uniformly. A limpet coil reactor uses a half-pipe coil welded in a spiral pattern on the outer shell. Limpet coil designs offer higher pressure tolerance, better energy efficiency, and are preferred for large-capacity or high-pressure applications.

What is the minimum and maximum capacity of your chemical tanks?

We manufacture chemical tanks and reactor vessels from 100 litres (lab/pilot scale) up to 50,000 litres (50 KL) for commercial production. Larger site-fabricated storage tanks can be engineered on request for capacities exceeding 50 KL.

Are your pressure vessels ASME certified?

Our pressure vessels are designed and fabricated as per ASME Section VIII Div. 1 and IS 2825 standards. Each vessel is supplied with a hydro-test report, material test certificates from NABL-accredited labs, and NDT (radiography / ultrasonic) records. ASME stamp procurement can be facilitated on request for export orders.

What materials do you use for chemical reactor fabrication?

We fabricate reactors in Mild Steel (MS), Stainless Steel SS304, SS316, SS316L, and MS with rubber lining (MSRL). For special applications involving highly corrosive media, we also offer Hastelloy, Duplex SS, and PTFE-lined options. Material selection depends on the chemical compatibility, operating temperature, and pressure requirements.

Do you supply reactors with agitators?

Yes. We supply complete reactor packages with anchor, paddle, Rushton turbine, propeller, and hydrofoil impeller systems. Agitators can be top-entry or bottom-entry, with direct-drive or VFD-controlled motors as per your mixing requirements and viscosity profile.

How long does fabrication and delivery take?

Standard reactors and tanks (up to 5 KL, no special MOC) are typically delivered in 3–6 weeks from order confirmation. Custom-engineered vessels with special materials, complex agitator assemblies, or GMP-compliant builds are delivered in 6–12 weeks. We provide detailed production schedules on order acceptance.
